What is Global Warming – Cause, Effect, Green Tech Solutions 

Global warming is the slow rise in the planet’s surface temperature. Although this warming trend has been there for some time, the burning of fossil fuels has significantly increased its pace. As the world’s population has increased, so has the number of fossil fuels used. The “greenhouse effect” is a consequence of burning fossil fuels, including natural gas and coal. It has an impact on the Earth’s atmosphere.

By acting as a blanket to trap the sun’s heat, the pollutants we put into the atmosphere—such as carbon dioxide, methane, soot, and other ones—cause the world to warm. As a result, the world’s climatic system, including its land, atmosphere, seas, and ice, is changing significantly due to this warming.

When it comes to climate change, the Middle East and North Africa are among the world’s most susceptible areas. Summertime temperatures are expected to increase by up to 4°C by 2071-2100 compared to pre-industrial levels since the area is warming more quickly than the world average.

What is Green Tech and how does it relate to Global Warming?

The term “green technology” involves the application of science and technology to produce goods and services that are ecologically friendly. Green technology is associated with cleantech, which refers to goods or services that enhance operational efficiency while simultaneously lowering prices, energy use, waste, or unfavourable environmental consequences. Green technology is also known as “Clean-Energy Tech,” “Clean Technology,” “Sustainable Technology,” “Environmental Technology,” and “Climate Tech” in the business world.

Green technology is still in its infancy. Nonetheless, a UN climate change report cited the use of green technology as essential to help meet the goals outlined in the Paris Agreement and help us transition from relying on fossil fuels. Any technology that does not significantly harm the environment or emit large amounts of carbon while simultaneously reducing the likelihood of carbon emissions is a subset of green technology.

  • Green Coding

Longer computer codes equate to longer run times and more energy use. Computer experts are so placing their bets on green coding. Small programming methods called “green codes” do more computation than longer codes. Rust, C, C++, Java, and Ada green are the coding languages that programmers use.

  • Green Computing

Green computing effectively uses hardware, software, and other resources while using computational power. It promotes energy-efficient technology, recyclable hardware, longer gadget lives, skilled power management, and other factors.

  • Tesla Solar Roof

Tesla Solar Roof has roof tiles with built-in photovoltaic cells that automatically generate power from the sun. Solar roof tiles may last up to 25 years, greatly reducing operating costs. In addition, the Tesla Powerwall can be charged by the solar roof and used to power the whole home in case of power interruption.

Green technology helps individuals to undo the harm that human activity has done to the environment. Organizations, governments, and communities should work hard and continuously to adopt green technology and put them into practice on a broader scale. Due to the ease of access, more people can utilize green technology, having a substantial long-term influence on the environment.
