UAE and Mongolia strengthen clean energy ties with renewable energy and green hydrogen MoU

MOU

The UAE and Mongolia have agreed to expand cooperation in renewable energy and green hydrogen as part of efforts to support their respective energy transition programmes.

The memorandum of understanding (MoU) was signed by the UAE Ministry of Energy and Infrastructure and Mongolia’s Ministry of Energy. The agreement establishes a framework for sharing technical expertise, developing capacity-building programmes and exploring renewable energy projects across Mongolia.

The partnership also seeks to strengthen collaboration between the public and private sectors, particularly in developing infrastructure needed to support clean energy projects and the wider transition towards lower-carbon energy systems.

As part of the agreement, the two countries will establish a joint working group to identify priority areas for cooperation, assess the feasibility of potential projects and monitor their implementation.

The MoU was signed by Suhail Al Mazrouei, UAE Minister of Energy and Infrastructure, and Togmid Dorjkhand, Deputy Prime Minister of Mongolia.

The agreement provides a framework for both countries to explore practical opportunities in renewable energy and green hydrogen while supporting knowledge exchange and investment in clean-energy infrastructure.
