Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates the United Arab Emirates and Indonesia inked a number of strategic agreements covering important areas like the economy, investment, renewable energy, and security in a major move to strengthen their bilateral ties. At a high-level meeting at Qasr Al Shati in Abu Dhabi, Indonesian President His Excellency Prabowo Subianto and UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan announced the agreements.
Focus on Sustainable Development and Infrastructure
The two presidents discussed wide-ranging prospects for cooperation, focussing on cooperative efforts to promote green energy projects, infrastructure expansion, and sustainable development. Their conversations reaffirmed the two countries’ dedication to promoting economic integration and shared innovation as means of promoting prosperity for both.

During President Subianto’s official visit, several memoranda of understanding were signed, covering a diverse range of sectors such as the environment, food security, and Islamic affairs. The comprehensive scope of these agreements reflects a strategic partnership aimed at long-term growth and stability.

The talks were framed within the broader context of the UAE and Indonesia’s deepening strategic relationship and Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA). Both leaders reaffirmed their commitment to enhancing regional and global peace, pledging to address challenges through diplomacy and dialogue.

Attending the high-level meeting were senior UAE officials, including His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, and Chairman of the Presidential Court. Also present were H.H. Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Minister of Energy and Infrastructure Suhail bin Mohammed Al Mazrouei, Minister of Investment Mohamed Hassan Alsuwaidi, Minister of State Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, and other dignitaries.
