MoIAT to Unveil Cutting-edge Sustainability Investment Prospects at ADIPEC


MoIAT (Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology) will present brand-new incentives during the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) to support the long-term growth of national companies. MoIAT is taking part in ADIPEC from October 2–5 at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre. The ministry is hosting the “Manufacturing and Industrialization Strategic Conference” as part of the Make It in the Emirates campaign.

Showcasing UAE’s Industrial Advantages: Make it in the Emirates Initiative

The conference brings together significant domestic and international industrial companies to improve business prospects by deploying cutting-edge technology and 4IR solutions. In order to hasten the sector’s transition to a low-carbon economy, the conference promotes best practices for sustainable consumption and production.

At the conference, the MoIAT will showcase the Make It in the Emirates initiative’s incentives, enablers, and competitive advantages of the UAE’s industrial sector, including investment opportunities.

Incentives linked to the Industrial Technology Transformation Index (ITTI), such as Golden Visa opportunities, as well as cost-free ITTI assessments performed by the Abu Dhabi Department of Economic Development (ADDED) in collaboration with Maxbyte and Schneider Electric, are also going to be announced by the ministry. In addition, so as to improve the competitiveness and sustainability of companies, MoIAT will also roll out the Green ICV as part of the National In-Country (ICV) Program.

MoIAT’s participation is in line with Operation 300bn, a national strategy for industry and advanced technology, which aims to boost the industrial sector’s GDP contribution. The policy also intends to advance technological change, encourage the expansion of UAE companies, and provide an appealing business environment for both domestic and foreign investors.

MoIAT’s participation in ADIPEC , the world’s largest energy event, comes ahead of COP28. As the UAE prepares to host the global climate conference, the ministry will contribute to ADIPEC’s theme of Decarbonising. Faster. Together by supporting the use of modern technologies and sustainability practices in the industry.

The ministry will conduct panel discussions on using advanced technologies to establish future industries; the Make it in the Emirates program, and a roundtable for chief technology officers from the UAE Climate Tech Forum.

As part of its participation in ADIPEC, MoIAT plans to announce four training programs under the ‘Industrialists Program’ in safety and security, food and beverage, oil and gas, and metals and paper.

The ministry will also take part in a roundtable discussion with the German-Emirati Joint Council for Industry and Commerce (AHK) to showcase German company success stories and emphasize the competitive advantages of the UAE economy. The discussion will feature talks from ADNOC on Khalifa Economic Zones (KEZAD) and prospects in the energy sector.

More than 2,200 businesses, including 54 significant domestic and international energy giants, will attend ADIPEC in addition to 30 pavilions.

The conference will address the world’s energy and climate concerns, focusing on decarbonization initiatives to hasten the energy transition and achieve sustainability.’

In order to engage many industries and sculpt a more sustainable future, the exhibition will include more than 350 seminars and more than 1,600 high-level speakers.
