By installing a 2.2-megawatt (MW) rooftop solar power system at its cutting-edge production facility in National Industries Park (NIP), Dubai-based packaging giant Hotpack Global has made a major environmental impact. The company’s dedication to renewable energy and environmental responsibility is demonstrated by this effort, which represents one of the biggest rooftop solar installations in the region.
Driving Sustainability with Solar Energy
By producing over 3.52 million kWh of renewable energy a year, the recently installed solar system would lessen Hotpack Global’s reliance on traditional power sources. It is anticipated that this switch to solar energy will reduce 2,992 metric tonnes of CO₂ emissions yearly, which is the same amount of environmental impact as planting more than 142,476 trees.
By adopting renewable energy, Hotpack Global aligns with the UAE’s broader sustainability goals, including the Net Zero by 2050 strategy. The move further cements the company’s leadership in eco-friendly packaging manufacturing.
