The Abu Dhabi Agriculture and Food Safety Authority (ADAFSA) has officially opened the Al Sila Veterinary and Agricultural Services Centre, strengthening support for farmers and livestock owners in the Al Dhafra region.
The new centre is designed to provide integrated veterinary, agricultural, and advisory services, helping improve animal health, farm productivity, and food safety standards. It will offer veterinary care, disease prevention, livestock inspections, and guidance on modern farming practices tailored to local environmental conditions.
ADAFSA said the opening reflects its ongoing commitment to enhancing food security and supporting sustainable agriculture across Abu Dhabi. By expanding services in remote and border areas such as Al Sila, the authority aims to ensure farmers and breeders have direct access to essential expertise and resources.
The facility also plays a role in monitoring and controlling animal diseases, supporting early detection and rapid response efforts to protect livestock populations. In addition, agricultural advisory services at the centre will help farmers adopt efficient irrigation methods, improve crop yields, and implement biosecurity measures.
Officials noted that the centre aligns with Abu Dhabi’s broader strategy to develop resilient food systems, empower local producers, and promote best practices across the agriculture and livestock sectors.
The launch of the Al Sila Veterinary and Agricultural Services Centre marks another step in ADAFSA’s efforts to strengthen rural services, enhance agricultural sustainability, and safeguard public health throughout the emirate.
